COMPETITIVE GOLF TRAINING

As our young athletes progress through each level of the program, their golf skills will become much more advanced. Ultimately, the end goal is to have a highly-skilled, well-rounded golfer who is able to successfully compete with the best players in the region and eventually the world.
Over the last 5 years, the junior development program has been a large part of Tommy’s work. Throughout his time and experience, he has had the opportunity and the privilege to develop some elite junior golfers using the periodized Long Term Player Development program. This program was largely based on the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) model of junior golf coaching, which is dedicated to studying how the human body functions relative to the golf swing.

The program is also based on the National Coaching and Certification Program (NCCP) from Canadian PGA, which is known as a world leader in coach education. By taking into account the study of thousands of golfers and the myriad of data that has been collected on them, TPI has been able to identify precisely how a properly functioning body allows golfers to swing a club in the most efficient way possible.

Using these tools, our students are able to successfully achieve capabilities needed to play golf at a competitive level.
